Please join area clergy, county leaders, and concerned community members as we join hands and hearts in the work of ending homelessness in Clark County. All proceeds to benefit the House of Mercy; a homeless facility in Loyal, serving local women and children.
The worship service will be on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Allan & Connie Walter’s Farm; W4077 Heintown Rd.; in Loyal. Music begins at 10 am, the Worship Celebration is at 10:30 am, and Lunch at Noon.
The House of Mercy began as a community initiative born from the compassionate hearts of local community members, churches, businesses, and local organizations. Catholic Charities was invited in to join their Beyond Shelter Program and resources to this initiative’s efforts. Their mission is to provide dignity and stability of a permanent home, as well as supportive services to homeless women and women with children from Clark County. House of Mercy is located in Loyal and currently has three apartments available for housing.
The House of Mercy also contains a small office and potential rooms available for single women/women with children for emergency housing. These rooms will offer shared cooking, laundry, washrooms, and dining space. Emergency housing is for a short-term stay. The funds raised from this event will help us finish these rooms and open the emergency housing facility.
