Fall is here and so is the beginning of the preparations for Our Savior's annual Lutefisk Supper! The worker and food sign-up sheets are prepared and are in the back of the Church for you to look over and mark your name down in the ways you can help. Following is the list of the preparation dates and times. Please note that the meatballs are being done on Saturday the 17th!
Cash donations are welcome to help defray the cost of the fish, hamburger, pork and anything else that needs to be purchased. You can mail your donation to the Church office marked “Lutefisk”.
Mark Your Calendar!
October 17th 1:00 pm—Roll & brown meatballs to freeze
October 25th after worship—Peal & cook potatoes for lefse
October 26th 8:30 am—Make lefse
October 27th 6:00 pm—Peel potatoes, carrots, shred cabbage, set up, etc.
October 28th Lutefisk Supper! Start serving at 4:00 PM
Please note the above dates and times and know that every available pair of hands is needed to make a successful dinner.
Carol Hemersbach leads the lefse making and is looking for not only lefse rollers, but fryers, cutters & packagers, so not all jobs require standing.
If any organization has food in the chest freezer in the furnace room, please have it removed by Friday, October 16th to make room for the meatballs. Also, we need the refrigerator/freezer in the kitchen, cleaned out by Sunday, October 25th. Thanks!
Sign up sheets for materials and to help will be in the back of the Sanctuary on Sundays at Our Savior’s, or can be called into the Parish Office (267-6142) during the week.
