Our three congregations are (in the O-N-E order):
Our Savior's Lutheran Church - Greenwood (est. 1872)
Nazareth Lutheran Church - Withee (est. 1893)
Emmanuel Lutheran - Longwood (est. 1894)
We formed the ONE in Christ Parish in 2017 and are continuing to live in to what it means to be three congregations in shared ministry in our slice of Clark County, WI (along Wisconsin Highway 73).
As we worked toward formalizing our parish agreement, we were excited to land on our parish name - ONE in Christ. Not only does this name handily incorporate the initials from each of our congregations' names, but it also affirms the unity of the Christian faith - "There is no longer Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28, NRSV). As we celebrate our unity, we also give thanks for our diversity and uniqueness, as individuals and congregations.
We are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with about 4 million members. As members of the ELCA our faith and focus is the good news of Jesus Christ which gives us the freedom and the courage to work wonder, discover and boldly participate in what God is up to in the world.
The ELCA has 65 synods (regional groups of congregations); we are members of the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin and through our synod-wide work, we are part of a 20+ year partnership with the Lutheran Church in Malawi.

Pastor Elizabeth Bier
Email: [email protected]
cell: 715-255-0013 (text or call)
Pastor's "Office Hours": Pastor Elizabeth's primary office is out of Our Savior's. She is there on a fairly regular basis, but she does not have set office hours. Her weekly Sabbath day is Friday. She tries to have lunch with Our Savior's quilters on Mondays and coffee with Nazareth quilters on Thursdays. Call, text or email her to set up a specific time to meet.
Pastor Elizabeth has been serving ONE in Christ Lutheran Parish since February 2019. Pastor Elizabeth loves to sing and has enjoyed turning up the volume as we sing together on Sunday mornings. She is a graduate of Luther Seminary and prior to coming to ONE in Christ, served a bi-vocational call with Lutheran Volunteer Corps and a church in St. Paul, MN. She enjoys serving a multi-point parish as it is living out our call to be the body of Christ in the world in creative ways and is excited for how God is calling our parish to be God's hands and feet in the world. On a personal note, Pastor Elizabeth and her husband, Nathan, have been excited to connect with local theater troupes as they have settled in Clark County. They also have two kitty fur babies at home - Whispers and Leo.
